Our subconscious mind creates meaning for stressful situations based on past experiences and beliefs. That’s a given for every single person on the planet. We use our current events to confirm things that we had already believed about ourselves, for better or for worse. (But usually it’s for worse). And it’s possible to recognize those patterns and shift into a different mindset and a different frame that actually serves you rather than keeping you playing small. Past negative experiences can lead to positive outcomes in the future.
Today we’re joined by guest Adam Putschoegl, a father, husband, and pediatric cardiologist also involved in real estate and woodworking. He’s experiencing what he describes as a rut and he openly shares the negative feelings and assumptions about himself and what he’s capable of as a result with us.
